Lacrimal Ducts

Surgery of the lacrimal ducts : Dacryocystorhinostomy by laser

untunably Bicanalicular intubation

1. Dacryocystorhinostomy

humblingly The procedure involves the permeabilization of the naso-lacrimal duct, passing a laser fiber through one of the lacrimal holes, and then opening a path from the lacrimal sac through the nasal wall and get into the nasal cavity.

Then a silicone microtube passes in the two lacrimal holes , in the upper and lower canaliculi (bi-canalicular intubation) and is tied in the nasal cavity.

The tears will follow this microtube that will maintain a certain diameter for a few months. It will be then removed easily during a consultation.

2. Dacryocystorhinostomy with bicanalicular intubation
